Jean David designed this book on the plants of our coast with beginners in mind. Indeed, for the curious and observant walker, but ignorant of botany, it is sometimes difficult to immerse oneself in a complete flora of our country. Here, the short and precise texts, supplemented by numerous photos, allow, from the outset, the discovery of the coastal flora, but also give some good reflexes in the methodical identification of plants. These are classified by family to accustom the reader to this notion and encourage him to perfect his knowledge. The selection was made by retaining the most common and most original species as well as at least one representative of each important family; a choice made, of course, according to a mixture of objective and subjective criteria.
